Software Engineer Co-Op - Onsite

Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op for our Boeing Platforms Engineering team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

What You Will Do

Support the design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software for commercial aviation solutions and avionics products Contribute to assigned cross-functional engineering project team responsible for the design, development, and verification of real-time embedded software Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support Work with desktop computer in an office environment and with target hardware in an engineering lab to achieve the goal of delivering a high-quality software product within schedule and cost constraints What You Will Learn You will deepen your understanding of aircraft systems engineering, gaining insights into integration and development processes You will gain exposure to Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes You will expand your professional network, working alongside industry experts and global teams You will learn why people enjoy and feel fulfilled by working in our industry

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline Must be willing to work 40 hours per week Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/ Co-op session.

Experience

may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications

We Prefer Demonstrated interest in embedded software solutions and board-level device drivers Programming experience in C, C++ and/or Python Comfortable with real-time operating system and object-oriented programming concepts

Experience

with all phases of the software development life cycle Energetic and proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal and communications skills Eligibility & Working Conditions Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
