Spring 2027 Student Internship - ADI Application Development

POSITION SUMMARY / DETAILS

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting application development and delivery activities for the ADI program. The selected student will assist with requirements, configuration, coding, testing, documentation, and issue resolution under the guidance of experienced team members. The role offers exposure to the software development lifecycle, enterprise applications, integration, and agile delivery practices.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Application Development Support: Assist with coding, configuration, scripts, prototypes, or low-code solutions based on approved requirements and team standards.
• Testing and Quality: Prepare test data, execute test cases, document results, and support defect identification, triage, and retesting.
• Requirements and Design: Participate in discussions with business and technical partners; help document user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and solution details.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain development notes, configuration records, support procedures, release documentation, and knowledge articles.
• Team Delivery: Participate in team meetings, demonstrations, code or design reviews, and continuous improvement activities.

PHYSICAL LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP

605 Lake Kathy Drive, Brandon, FL 33510 (primary reporting location; work assignments may include meetings or activities at other company locations, as business needs require).

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / GPA

The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university or college undergraduate or graduate-level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program is required.

Target / Related Degrees: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering

Preferred Year in School: Junior, Senior, or Graduate student

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Programming Foundation: Coursework or experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or SQL.
• Development Concepts: Basic understanding of software development, databases, APIs, testing, source control, or agile delivery.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to break down technical problems, research options, test solutions, and ask effective questions.
• Quality and Documentation: Attention to coding standards, testing accuracy, maintainability, and clear technical documentation.
• Collaboration: Ability to work constructively with developers, analysts, testers, vendors, and business partners.

PREFERRED AVAILABILITY

Part-time, ideally 20-30 hours per week, aligned with academic commitments and business needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed primarily in a normal office environment at Lake Kathy. The intern may participate in meetings, demonstrations, testing, or project activities in operational or technical settings and must follow all applicable safety, security, and site-access requirements.
