SFA Athletics is looking for an energetic, dependable SFA student to join our team and help create an incredible experience for our fans, donors, and guests. This is a hands-on, game-day position with a primary focus on home football games, premium seating, donor relations, and fan experience. On game days, it’s truly all hands on deck — so we're looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump in wherever help is needed.
This isn't a typical desk job. You'll get behind-the-scenes experience with SFA Athletics and see what it takes to put on a Division I college sporting event. You'll work alongside Athletics staff, interact with fans and donors, and gain valuable experience in event operations, hospitality, donor relations, and sports administration.

QUALIFICATIONS The minimum education required for admittance as a student at Stephen F. Austin State University.
No direct experience is required. Training and instruction will be provided. Shows up, works hard, and can be counted on.
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with people. Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment.
Loves sports and is excited about SFA Athletics ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Helps set up and prepares for SFA home football games and other athletic events. Assists with premium seating, donor hospitality, and VIP areas. Helps with parking, signage, event setup, and game-day operations.
Welcomes and assists fans, donors, season ticket holders, and guests. Helps create a fun, positive, and memorable game-day experience. Assists with event breakdown and cleanup after games.
Supports Athletics staff with event planning, donor relations, and other projects when needed. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Knowledge of general office and clerical procedures and concepts. Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records and files. Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with university faculty and staff, students, and the general public.
Ability to understand and follow instructions. This position will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays as sport. Most game-day shifts will begin a few hours before the game, except for football which typically starts several hours prior to kickoff, and continue through the completion of the game.
Evening and weekend availability will be necessary for many home events. Additional hours may be available for office projects, event planning, and donor relations.
