Student Employment - AV and IT Technician Specialist I (Part Time)

Maintain and provide assistance with AV over IP classrooms and provide event support using digital equipment. Provides timely technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff and student end-users. Understands computer hardware and software, wireless presenting, digital sound and video formats. Works with incident tracking systems to manage requests. Training and certification opportunities available.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and assist with the installation of permanently affixed classroom and facility audio/video equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on audio/video equipment in classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Provide computer and audio/video technical support to staff, faculty, and students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
• Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.

• One year of experience or interest of audio/video, AV over IP, or Information Technology.

• One year of customer service experience in and AV or IT field
• High priority for safety in the workplace.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Understanding of digital audio and video equipment
