About the role

Entergy’s Transmission Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities, including but not limited to: Designing optimum T-Line solutions based on project scoping and site visits Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations Estimating project costs and ensuring material is properly ordered and staged Following and providing any necessary assistance on projects in construction Processing as-built documentation Participating in various meetings to support projects, department business, and safety Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability Responding to equipment failures Maintaining models and drawings Continuously improving practices through automation Some Travel may be required for the position

Education Requirements: Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Civil Engineering (for the duration of their internship) and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond at the time of hire. Preferred: Candidates who will be classified as a Junior, Senior, or beyond (at the time of hire). Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
