Student Support Coordinator - Lansing School District

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reports to the Program Director. The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for implementation of the CIS Integrated Student Supports Model at the assigned school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly recommended: Experience working in education programs or school settings and/or experience working with children and adolescents
• Commitment to educational equity
• Adaptability as the landscape of CIS of Michigan continues to change and expand
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to work with other CIS staff and district/school staff, students, and families

Build and Maintain Effective Relationships

• Develop good working relationships with school staff, parents, volunteers, and community partners
• Provide orientation and training for school staff, volunteers and community partners as needs are identified
• Complete an annual School Needs Assessment, implement a School Support Plan, and launch a School Support Team that includes appropriate school staff members, community partners, and ser
