Internship Program

Ascentris is seeking rising college seniors to participate in an intensive ten-week real estate Summer Analyst Program. The program will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Ascentris team, real estate financial modeling, and private equity investment strategies. About Company

Ascentris is a Denver-based real estate private equity firm focused on core, value-add, and opportunistic multifamily, student housing, office, industrial, and retail investments across the U.S. The firm invests in acquisitions and developments both directly and through joint ventures. The leadership team has been investing together since 2003 and currently manages $4 billion in assets. Ascentris has significantly increased its assets under management over the past several years and is expanding through a strategic and disciplined growth plan.

Ascentris is searching for analytical, curious, and hardworking individuals who are eager to learn all aspects of real estate private equity investment. Ascentris is seeking rising college seniors to participate in an intensive ten-week real estate summer analyst program. The program will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Ascentris team, real estate financial modeling, and private equity investment strategies.

As members of the team, summer analysts will be exposed to all facets of the real estate industry including investment, development, asset management, capital formation, and sustainability. Ascentris summer analysts will benefit from direct exposure to senior leadership [and other business leaders in the community] through various projects and social events.

The program includes underwriting acquisitions and developments, presentations, ad hoc asset management and acquisition responsibilities, technical training sessions, joining deal teams, and a final capstone project and presentation that will prepare participants for success in a highly competitive industry. Ascentris' summer analysts will directly contribute to the management of Ascentris' portfolio and the growth of the firm.

'Cradle to Grave' Staffing Structure

Rather than focusing on one stage of an investment life cycle, each Ascentris team works on an investment from acquisition to disposition, also known as 'cradle to grave.' This structure enables accountability, operational efficiencies, and breadth of experience. Summer analysts will have the opportunity to work on acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions of all property types.

Broad Exposure to Property Types, Geographic Regions, and Investment Strategies

Ascentris invests in multifamily, student housing, office, industrial, and retail acquisitions and developments in the top 20 markets in the U.S. While Ascentris' portfolio consists primarily of value-add investments, the firm analyzes investments ranging from core plus to opportunistic risk profiles. Summer analysts will have the opportunity to work across asset classes, geographies, and investment strategies, gaining broad exposure to the U.S. commercial real estate market.

Collaborative Investment Team

Ascentris believes in an 'open door' collaborative work environment with dynamic teams and varied backgrounds. Investments each have dedicated teams; however, no two investments are staffed the same. Summer analysts will gain exposure to everyone at Ascentris from the analysts to senior management, allowing for the opportunity to learn from the collective experiences of the investment team.

Mentorship and Professional Development

Ascentris prioritizes mentorship and professional growth. In addition to learning technical real estate investment skills, summer analysts will get the opportunity to develop professional, presentation, and critical thinking skills via research assignments, mock investment committees, and day-to-day investment analyses.
