About the job
Project Details:
As a Market Research Intern, you will support strategic research and analysis efforts focused on advancing the electrification of transportation. Your work will center on exploring emerging EV charging technologies—such as Light pole Charging and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)—as well as regulatory frameworks and utility-led initiatives around Managed Charging and advisory services.
The work you'll complete may look like in-depth research into innovative charging solutions, assessing their technical feasibility, deployment models, and relevance to Hawaii’s unique energy and transportation landscape. This could include evaluating how Light pole Charging can support equitable access to EV infrastructure, and how V2X technologies can enhance grid resilience and energy optimization.
Your work could include investigating regulatory developments and utility programs related to Managed Charging, including rate design, customer incentives, and grid integration strategies. You could even analyze how utilities across the U.S. are approaching advisory services to support EV adoption and identify best practices that could inform local implementation.
Your role will involve synthesizing findings into strategic recommendations, briefing materials, and presentations for internal stakeholders. You may also contribute to policy tracking and help identify opportunities for collaboration with government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of clean transportation in Hawaii by aligning technology innovation with policy and utility strategy.
