Job Details

This is a learning-focused internship for a student or recent graduate interested in digital marketing, social media, YouTube optimization, entertainment marketing, content strategy, audience development, video editing, analytics, and television/media production.

The intern will primarily learn and assist across three platforms: YouTube, Instagram, and TMDB (The Movie Database). Working with the Executive Producer and other members of the production team, the intern will gain practical experience studying audience performance, repurposing entertainment content, developing promotional strategies, and exploring ways to expand the program's digital reach.

The internship combines producer mentorship, self-directed research, creative experimentation, video editing, digital platform management, and analytics. Previous professional experience is not required.

YouTube & Instagram Strategy

A major part of the internship will involve learning how YouTube Studio, YouTube Analytics, and Instagram Insights can inform content and marketing decisions.

The goal is not simply to record statistics. The intern will be encouraged to examine why one piece of content performs differently from another, research possible explanations, and develop practical recommendations.

A significant part of the internship will involve reviewing existing long-form entertainment material and identifying moments that can be repurposed into effective short-form content.

With producer guidance, the intern will identify strong moments and edit selected material into approximately one-minute YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and television-style promotional videos. These pieces may promote an interview guest, introduce an episode, highlight a memorable story or moment, or increase awareness of the program. Approved show logos, graphics, stock elements, and other promotional assets may be provided. The learning focus extends beyond simply cutting footage. The intern will develop an understanding of why a particular moment should become a Short or Reel, how it should be packaged, and what audience it may appeal to.

  • Organizing photos, graphics, clips, and promotional assets
  • Maintaining eligible production information and images on TMDB

  • Reviewing names, credits, episode information, and promotional materials for accuracy

  • Coordinating content with upcoming episodes, interviews, guests, and promotional campaigns

Content Strategy & Entertainment Marketing

The intern will have opportunities to contribute ideas for social media campaigns, short-form content, and television-style entertainment marketing.

Working collaboratively with the Executive Producer and production team, the intern may help develop promotional approaches.

The intern must be willing to learn Google Sheets and maintain a performance report every two weeks. Advanced spreadsheet experience is not required. Reports may track:

  • Recently published content
  • Views, impressions, and reach
  • Engagement
  • Watch time and retention
