MKS&H is a regional professional service firm with offices located in Timonium and Frederick Maryland. We have been serving mid-sized business and individual clients for over 80 years. We have niche practices in Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution and the Death Care industries.

Tax Season internships begin in mid-January and go until mid-April. Interns are required to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week between the hours of 9-5pm M-F, and some Saturdays as needed 9am-1pm.

Job Description:

• Prepare schedules for tax and audit employees.
• Perform basic analytical tasks for client projects.
• Opportunity to work on portions of audit, review and compilation engagements.
• Opportunity to assist with preparation of personal and business income tax returns.
• Exposure to client service principles and the daily operations of an independent CPA firm.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing BA, BS or Masters in Accounting with completion of the Intermediate Series of classes
• Must be able to present themselves in a professional manner and work independently
• Superb written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications.

This is an entry level position for accounting students interested in gaining practical experience in public accounting. As an intern you will assist in the conduction of full scope tax and audit work for a wide range of clients in various industries.
