About the role
TEAM MASCOT INTERNSHIP
The Charlottesville Tom Sox Mascot internship provides individuals interested in becoming a college or professional mascot the ability to learn the craft and practice it on a daily basis as the team mascot, "Lewie".
Required Qualifications:
- High-energy individual
- Comfortable interacting with fans, including children and adults
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with marketing and/or mascotting
- Basic understanding of baseball
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR INTERNSHIP
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
Work directly with Valley Baseball League professionals on real projects that impact team operations.
INDUSTRY NETWORKING
Collaborate with team officials, league administrators, and sports industry leaders throughout the summer.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
Internships run May 25 - August 3, 2025, with schedules designed around your summer availability.
COLLEGE CREDIT
All positions are eligible for college credit. Game Operations and Mascot roles also qualify for community service hours.
