Technical Writer

Create clear, accurate, user-focused documentation for XYZ AI Inc.'s AI products and internal tools, from product guides and API docs to specs, release notes, and onboarding materials.

What You'll Do

• Draft and maintain product guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and release notes in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
• Interview subject matter experts, analyze complex technical information, and translate it into structured content for developers, business users, and non-technical audiences.
• Organize and standardize documentation repositories, improve templates and style guides, and keep technical materials consistent and accessible.
• Help refine onboarding materials and training resources for internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in technical writing and documentation, including user-facing instructional content, manuals, and formal technical communication.
• Strong ability to understand software architecture, APIs, and AI/ML concepts and explain them clearly to varied audiences.
• Proficiency with documentation tools and formats such as Markdown, HTML, wikis, and version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow and contribute to style guides and documentation standards.
• Comfort working remotely, managing multiple projects, and collaborating across time zones with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (for example Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or English) or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience documenting AI, software development tools, or SaaS products is highly beneficial.
