Internship Program Overview
The Georgia Games is looking for talented, aggressive, outgoing and innovative interns to assist in the preparation for this year's events. Internship opportunities are offered in unpaid positions depending on intern's experience & skills, time commitment, availability, academic credit and semester sought. Internships are first offered to students completing the internship for academic credit.
Dates and times for internships are flexible. All applicants must have strong writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Full-time internships are preferred & recommended, but part-time internships are also available.

Internship Options
Virtual
These 100% remote positions will be conducted from wherever the student resides
*(offered all semesters)*
Hybrid
These positions will be mainly Virtual Positions being conducted from where the intern resides. During a Pre-Determined mutially agreed upon timeframe the intern (at one's own expense) will travel and stay in Georgia to help operate our events.
*(offered mainly during the summer term)*
On-site
These are the typical on-site positions located in a NW suburb of the Atlanta, GA area. specifically, at our Kennesaw, GA Headquarters location.
*(offered ALL Semesters but heavy during the summer terms where we operate 95% of our sporting events)*
Position Types
- Fulltime (35+ hours per week)
- Part time (less than 35 hours per week)
- Weekend only positions (mainly for on-site event operation & photo/video positions)
Program History
The internship program has been offered for over 30 years. Students have come from the following ALL 50 USA States including Puerto Rico and the countries of Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, China, Columbia, England, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Scotland, South Africa and South Korea for Georgia Games internships.
These internship positions will provide someone with substantial experience in nonprofit development and management, events and sports management in addition to gaining valuable office experience working in a non-profit.
