About the role
Overview
Our marketing design team is seeking an intern to create digital ads, social media content, and more, with a focus on promoting teen, young adult, and romance books.
Responsibilities
- Designs trade and consumer advertisements.
- Designs social media marketing content.
- Makes revisions on active design projects.
- Animates digital ads and book covers.
- Downloads assets from DAM for various projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
- A passion for books is highly valued!
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects on a Mac.
- Social Media proficient (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
- An interest in or a major/minor in design, advertising, or marketing
- Applicants should include a link to an online portfolio
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
