Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Little Rock, Arkansas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy emergency department setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of clinical scenarios, supporting patient stabilization, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Job Details
Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in emergency nursing
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency care
- Located in or able to work in Little Rock, Arkansas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
- Prior travel nursing experience
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
Position Details
The ER accommodates 35 beds in the main emergency department, 7 ACE spaces, 4 hallway spaces, and 16 beds in the CDU (Clinical Decision Unit). The unit occasionally performs ECMO procedures; staff may assist with art lines and operate Phillips monitors and ventilators managed by respiratory therapists. Weekend shifts are required every third weekend; no call is necessary.
