Job Summary

The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse for a position located in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy ICU setting, with responsibilities including managing critically ill adult and geriatric patients, performing complex procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and critical care management.

Job Details

**Schedule** Night shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and OCNS certifications
• Valid license (compact license accepted)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in ICU settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Community hospital experience
• Travel experience
• Previous ICU charge experience
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Ability to float between units including SICU, CICU, NSICU
• Knowledge of special procedures such as CRRT, ECMO, and advanced ventilator management

Additional Information

• The role involves floating to sister intensive care units with a potential patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on unit needs
• Must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
• Orientation consists of 28 hours of training prior to start
• Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from IV teams, respiratory services, and radiology among others
• Candidates will be expected to respond to specific scheduling requests and provide references covering recent work experience
• The assignment begins on 08/24/2026, with a start date of August 24, 2026

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
