Job Summary
Wound Care Nurse Non-Acute. This position is located in New York and involves conducting comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments. The role includes developing care plans, educating patients and staff, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Wound Care Nurse will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with asset management of specialized equipment.
Schedule
- Days shift, 7.5 hours per day, minimum of 37.5 hours per week, beginning on 08/03/2026
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program
- New York State RN License
- Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
- Current certification in one of the following: Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) issued by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB), Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM), or Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO)
- Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience
- Wound and Colostomy experience
- No minimum experience requirement for the position itself
