  • $17/hour: paid biweekly

Main Requirements

  • Degree-seeking rising sophomores through rising seniors
  • Interns will need to complete an end-of-program presentation
  • Interns will participate in program activities, lectures, and outings
  • Application deadline: February 27, 2027 (rolling interviews/acceptance)

Students who require internship credits must work with their schools and advisors to finalize the paperwork.

University Sustainability - Greenhouse & Gardens

The Greenhouse and Gardens Internship offers hands-on experience growing fruits and vegetables on campus through hydroponic systems and outdoor gardens. Interns will assist with planting, harvesting, composting, and maintaining garden beds at locations like the Presidents Park Greenhouse, Innovation Food Forest, and Potomac Heights Vegetable Garden. Tasks may include greenhouse upkeep, pest management, and supporting produce donations and outreach efforts. Interns should be comfortable working outdoors in summer conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in sustainability, agriculture, or environmental science, with flexible tasks based on interests and availability.
