Job Overview & Responsibilities
As a Video Editing Intern at United Launch Alliance, you'll gain hands-on experience in creative production and content management within the Strategic Communications organization. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, detail‑oriented individual who is passionate about visual storytelling, organization and effective communication.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Edit a wide range of video projects, including internal communications (announcements, Q&As, trainings) and external-facing content such as social media videos, b-roll packages, brand awareness pieces, educational content and highlights rocket launch activities.
- Support the ingestion, organization and archiving of new and existing video footage, maintaining an efficient and searchable media library.
- Shadow and collaborate with experienced communications and creative professionals, gaining exposure to strategic campaign planning, production logistics and the development of visual storytelling concepts.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh ideas rooted in modern editing trends, audience retention best practices and engaging visual techniques.
- Learn the day-to-day operations of the business side of the aerospace industry and support assignments that roll into larger communication and branding initiatives.
Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!
Required Education
- At minimum completed Junior year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
- High School/GED
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is required if you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.
- Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.
Role Specific Qualifications
- Completed or actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in film, multimedia, communications, journalism, or relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere; experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Highly motivated by creativity, organization, and high‑quality visual storytelling.
- Strong communication skills and receptive to feedback.
- Interest in rockets, science, engineering or aerospace (Technical background not required—curiosity and enthusiasm encouraged!)
