About the job

A Washington, DC-based strategic messaging firm is looking to engage an experienced Video Editor/Motion Designer in a part-time, remote, temporary role. We expect the workload to be at least 20 hours/week, but there may be weeks during which the firm is seeking up to 30 hours of support. We are interested in hearing from experienced Video Editors/Motion Designers who are seeking consistent work anywhere in the 20 to 30 hours/week timeframe.

We’re looking for someone to start work in September or possibly early October 2026 and continue for at least six months. Also, there is the potential for the working relationship to continue well beyond six months. Applicants should be able to offer regular dayside availability.

However, the person in this role will not be locked into specific working hours. This is an ideal opportunity for a full-time freelancer who is committed to supporting their own clients between 9am and 5pm each day, and is looking to add one more highly active client to their workflow. Brainstorm Creative Resources counsels its clients to pay competitively so that we can do the same. For this role, we are laser-focused on identifying a talented, skilled Video Editor/Motion Designer and not too concerned about how many years of experience an applicant has or the level of senior they achieved in previous roles and engagements. Therefore, we expect to receive applications from Video Editors/Motion Designers at various points on their career journey and we are open to considering all rate requirements.

Actual rates offered are always commensurate with market norms and are typically based on the following factors: depth and variety of highly relevant work experiences as detailed in your bio, resume or LinkedIn profile; your portfolio or other example work submitted; your initial interactions with Brainstorm Creative Resources and/or the hiring organization; and quality of reference providers and references provided. Applications submitted at the Brainstorm website are reviewed within three days of receipt, and the firm keeps applications on file for future consideration if they aren't a fit for currently opportunities.
