Wildlife Intern

Interns at Wolf Hollow gain on-the-job training in skills required for a career in wildlife rehabilitation. They assist rehabilitation staff with diet preparation, feeding patients, cleaning enclosures, and medical treatments such as bandaging, wound care, and calculating and administering medications. We work closely with local veterinarians for major procedures, but we do not have a vet on staff and do most permitted medical treatments in-house. We do have a veterinary technician on-staff that allows us more flexibility with our medical treatments. Internship lengths include a 5 month, 4 month and two 3 month options, spanning from May to October. Housing is provided on-site, which includes laundry facilities. Interns will have access to company vehicles for running errands on the island, although a personal car is recommended.
