The Bone & Joint Clinic Intern will support the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team by assisting with daily clinic operations; workflow coordination; and patient service initiatives. Responsibilities may include supporting front-end and back-end operational processes; contributing to clinic efficiency efforts; assisting with scheduling and care coordination activities; and helping staff optimize the overall patient experience.

The internship will provide exposure to key areas of healthcare operations; including ambulatory clinic management; patient access and scheduling; operational performance; service excellence; process improvement; and healthcare business practices. Interns may participate in projects focused on workflow enhancement; quality improvement; patient experience; and operational effectiveness while gaining an understanding of how outpatient services are delivered and managed.

The Bone & Joint Clinic Intern will collaborate with physicians; advanced practice providers; nursing staff; rehabilitation professionals; and administrative team members to gain insight into the interdisciplinary coordination required to support musculoskeletal care delivery.

In addition; the intern may engage with organizational departments such as Operations; Human Resources; Patient Experience; Finance; Marketing; and Business Development to better understand the strategic; financial; and administrative functions that support a successful healthcare organization. This experience is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of healthcare leadership; clinic operations; and the business aspects of delivering high-quality patient care.
