Young Adults Ministry Intern

Restoration Community Church Young Adults Ministry Internship Description Job Summary The Young Adults Ministry Intern, under the supervision and support of the Lead Pastor (principally), Staff, and Elder Board, will provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and pastoral care to young adults within the church, in Naperville, and the surrounding area. This role involves creating a dynamic ministry fostering faith development, biblical teaching, community, community engagement, and young adult outreach. The ideal candidate will have a heart for post-college young adults or respective age, a passion for evangelism, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with young adults in a formative moment in their lives.

Key Responsibilities 1. Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship Develop and lead biblically grounded programs (small groups, Bible studies, worship nights, retreats, etc.) that engage young adults in spiritual growth Provide one-on-one mentoring and pastoral counseling to young adults Equip young adult leaders to serve and disciple their peers 2. Outreach & Evangelism Build relationships with young adults in the area, both in Naperville and the surrounding area (like DuPage County, and other nearby cities and counties) Partner with young adult ministries to reach unchurched young adults Create welcoming environments for seekers and new believers 3.

Teaching & Training Deliver engaging, relevant, and theologically sound messages for the young adult audience Teach foundational Christian doctrines while addressing real-world challenges young adults face From a biblical perspective, address contemporary issues (faith, work, relationships, mental health, cultural engagement) 4. Community & Connection Foster a sense of belonging through social events, service projects, and mission trips Connect young adults to the broader church body for multi-generational discipleship Provide pastoral care during crises (mental health struggles, faith doubts, relational conflicts) 5. Administration & Team Collaboration Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer leaders.

Manage ministry budgets and event planning. Collaborate with church staff to align the young adults ministry with the church’s vision.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Biblical Studies, or related field (Seminary/MDiv preferred) 2+ years in college/young adults ministry (volunteer or vocational) Strong teaching, relational, and organizational abilities; familiarity with social media/digital outreach Mature faith, teachable spirit, emotionally intelligent, and aligned with [Church Denomination/Doctrine] CONTACT: contact@rccnaperville.org Job Types: Part-time, Internship Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Naperville, IL 60563
