Development Internship

This is an on-site position that will work 10 hours per week. The Development Intern assists the Development Team with tasks that vary by season, including support for our individual donation program – MR Friends, annual reports, prospect funders research, the distribution of the Movement Research Performance Journal (MRPJ), and ongoing tracking documents for proposals and reporting. Additionally, the ideal candidate possesses a strong interest in engaging contemporary and experimental dance and/or performance work through written language and statistical data. A minimum of 10 hours of work will be required each week, to be completed in the office, at 122 Community Center (150 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10009) as needed, and independently/remotely. Experience with Mac software, Word, Excel and Filemaker strongly encouraged.

This is an in-person internship, with potential remote work.

MR Staff Intern Reports to: Development Manager and Development & Executive Support Associate

The MR Internship Program hosts ongoing internships during the fall and spring seasons, as well as winter and summer internships geared toward college and university students and recent graduates. The MR Internship Program has a work-study structure — interns work with and are mentored by MR staff and, in exchange, receive access to MR classes and select workshops.
