Production Internship

Production Internship | Fall 2026/Winter 2027

Open to All.

This internship position is a 6 month commitment for the Fall 2026/Winter 2027 season (September 2026 – February 2027); the average hourly commitment is between 8-12 hours per week, though it may vary according to the programming schedule. Internship schedule will be determined in collaboration with MR staff, but programming typically takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays. Interviews will take place in August/September 2026. Start date and training will take place in mid September 2026.

There are 3 Production internship positions available.

Production Interns works closely with the Director of Movement Research at the Judson Church, Programs & Events Manager and Associates to facilitate Movement Research's public programming. This position works primarily in-person and assists in the management and implementation of the Movement Research at the Judson Church performance series, Open Performance, Discursive Events, and Gala. Duties include space set-up, audience and front-of-house management, technical assistance, and acting as the on-site liaison between artists and MR staff.

Candidates should have experience with Zoom, Google Docs and/or Microsoft Excel and Word, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, punctuality, and attention to detail. Knowledge of audio/visual tools, cameras, and/or recording equipment is helpful but not required. Please include your anticipated weekly schedule and availability when applying.

The MR internships follow a work-study format, in that interns receive free regular MR classes in exchange for hours worked. Interns are encouraged to participate in class, workshop, and event programming as much as possible.
