Family Advocate Internship

Come help families in need overcome obstacles! This is a great opportunity for those looking to get hands-on experience working with families and communities. Hours are variable. Preference may be given to those who apply early.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments with parents for meetings with Family Advocates
• Attend/assist with home visits, review case notes ahead of appointments, find helpful resources and referrals to take to the family
• Experience case management Documentation by taking notes during meetings with parents and transcribing them into C+, our data system
• If you speak another language, interpret at parent meetings, home visits and other meetings and help to translate documents into other languages
• Participate in the planning of Parent Committee Meetings, Family and DUDE activities, and assist with: translation, child care, set up and clean up
• Bring new and innovative ideas of how to best help families and children
• Help in additional areas if needed
