Finance Intern

The Finance team plays a critical role in supporting missionaries and projects around the world so that people can be transformed by a relationship with Jesus. Join the finance team as a summer intern to assist with projects as well as day-to-day tasks. You'll come away with a better knowledge of finances in a nonprofit, missions-based setting.

The OMS internship program is carefully designed to deepen your understanding of God’s heart for the nations and how we can make a lasting impact on the world through Christ. We are seeking Christ-centered individuals who are eager to use their God-given gifts, grow in their faith, and make Jesus known among the nations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting CFO and Controller with reports.
• Filing, scanning, stuffing envelopes, working with data in Excel, opening mail, and various other tasks.
• Working with various finance team members to understand the complexities of what the finance department does.
• Communicating with missionaries regarding finance related issues.
• Assist with various projects.
• Assist with recording donations and department expenses.

Requirements

• Detail oriented
• Accounting / finance student in their 3rd year of college
• Self-starter

• Hours per week: 40
• Compensation: $10 an hour
• Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters

Optional: Short-term Mission Trip

Interns have the option to take a short-term mission trip during their paid internship. This is an incredible opportunity to visit an OMS field and serve alongside an OMS missionary team for 7-10 days. *Expenses for this trip must be raised by the intern; this trip is not paid for by One Mission Society.*
