About the role
Position Information
- Scheduled shift 6:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Includes every other weekend.
- Sweep and mop the university's Convocation Center kitchen and service area as well as the Eagles Nest kitchen and dining areas.
- Clean exhaust hoods in both areas on a quarterly rotation.
- Remove trash and recycling from facility.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Wax and buff floors on an annual basis.
- Along with the other team members, responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
- Schedule varies in the summer based on conference groups.
- Shovel snow and salt around entrance during inclement weather.
- Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Detail oriented, reliable, as well as a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous custodial and floor care experience.
Physical Demands
- Heavy repetitive lifting.
