About the role
Overview The Student Assistant (Department of Human Services) works with Auburn University Outreach's Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) to support professional training courses, conferences and workshops. This role helps with preparing materials, organizing supplies, and assisting with online and in-person training logistics. This is a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in event support, office operations, and training coordination.
Responsibilities Photocopy, print, and assemble course packets and training resources. Assist with grading course exams and processing participant evaluations. Track, organize, and restock training supplies.
Support mass mailing and maintain training-related data and records. Assist with Canvas course pagers and hybrid or online course setup. Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications Enrolled student at Auburn University Ability to work 15 hours per week during normal work hours Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Detailed oriented Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively while meeting deadlines on multiple projects Adobe Proficiency Why Work at Auburn?
