Intern: Product Manager - Projects (Spring 2027)

What you will do

The Project Manager Intern will be a part of our Sustainability & Innovation team, assisting with the development and execution of government grant projects for zero emission technologies and associated charging infrastructure, non-government projects and R&D. This intern will work closely with the Project Manager to successfully demonstrate new products and technologies for North America.

Focus Areas:

Project Support and Execution

• Assist in the development and execution of projects for Volvo Construction Equipment
• Assist with the development and tracking of work scope and deliverables, time plans and budget
• Written summary reports

Government Contract Process

• Review and track government funding opportunities for District Sales Managers and Dealers by state or province
• Notify District Sales Managers and Dealers about government funding opportunities that are open for submittal, along with due dates for submittal, and follow up with District Sales Managers and Dealers on status
• Review and track government funding opportunities for Volvo Construction Equipment

Working Environment:

• The Project Manager Intern will work remotely and in an office setting, but may be required to attend meetings or events outside of regular office hours

Who are you?

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Applicants must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Engineering with a background in Project Management desirable, or a related field at an accredited university and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
• Spring Interns may work up to 30 hours per week
