Legislative Internship

The Office of Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) seeks motivated, organized, and hardworking college students and recent graduates committed to public service to serve as interns in our Washington, DC office in Spring 2027. The Spring Internship term begins in January 2027 and ends in May 2027.

Interns in Washington, DC, are fully integrated into office operations. They work with the legislative staff to perform research, draft correspondence and memos, and attend hearings. Interns provide administrative support by greeting constituents, answering phones, and giving tours of the Capitol building. Our interns also work with the scheduling and press teams. Interns are encouraged to attend special events that occur in the Senate and the House of Representatives and will have the opportunity to explore the many monuments and landmarks of our nation’s capital.

Successful candidates will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, willingness to contribute to a team environment, and eagerness to learn about the political process and congressional affairs. Delaware ties are preferred.
