Sensory Discovery Internship (Introductory)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with OT session preparation and clean-up

• Work alongside Occupational Therapists, supporting group activities and learning routines

• Observe OT sessions to gain exposure to the P2P approach

• Participate in play-based activities with children, fostering engagement and learning

• Learn about clinic operations and the various roles within a pediatric therapy clinic and assisting with operational activities.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop a basic understanding of Sensory Integration and its practical applications through direct observation and participation

• Gain insight into the daily operations of a pediatric therapy clinic and the interprofessional collaboration among staff

• Build skills in engaging and interacting with young children in both structured and unstructured settings

Requirements:

• Commit to an 12-16 week internship period

• Be comfortable observing and participating in play with children

• Demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn through hands-on experience

• Availability during clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Limited Saturday availability (Studio City: 8am–2pm)
