Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in the planning and execution of projects, games, and activities for children participating in summer camps and therapeutic groups
- Provide 1:1 support for children who need additional assistance during groups and camps
- Contribute ideas for programming and activities, helping shape the camp and group experience
- Take a lead role in prepping materials and managing hands-on engagement with children
- Support a collaborative, play-based environment that fosters learning and growth
Learning & Professional Development:
- Receive direct mentorship from OTs, who will teach you about the P2P method and core concepts of Sensory Integration
- Gain practical experience working with children in a therapeutic setting
- Develop skills in individualized support, group facilitation, and activity execution
Requirements:
- Paid position with a structured schedule during summer camp and/or school year group program hours
- Commitment to active participation, reliability, and a passion for working with children
- Ideal for students or recent graduates preparing for OT graduate programs
- Comfortable engaging in hands-on, play-based activities
- Commit to a long term internship period a minimum of 3-4 month in length.
