Social Media Intern

As a Social Media Intern, you will be assigned to one of our storytelling teams and lead social media planning, posting and management for the stories your team produces. Working closely with Hola Cultura’s social media staff, you will help not only promote the stories of your fellow SPEL interns, you will also be part of our fast-paced social media team promoting all of our stories, podcasts, community events and more. You should ideally have work experience or a strong interest in pursuing a career in social media, marketing, journalism, nonprofit communication or a related field.

SPEL Opportunities

We recruit for our online Storytelling Program for Experiential Learning (SPEL) program three times a year (*spring, summer and fall*). The 2026 fall semester will run from September 22 to December 1, 2026. SPEL meets remotely every Tuesday for professional development trainings and collaborative story lab time. To be considered, you must be available for these weekly Zoom meetings.
