Job Summary
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will perform input for previously established procedures and/or systems, assist in establishing and/or maintaining a suppliers' list, preparing, issuing and receiving requests for quotation, and assist in evaluating quotations. The Procurement Intern will develop knowledge in the use of procurement department software, review and process purchasing documents, prepare/issue/maintain records of purchase orders, and may process approvals for supplier invoices and maintains necessary records.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform input for previously established procedures and/or systems
- Implement firm's and department's Policies and Procedures
- Assist in establishing and/or maintaining a Suppliers' List
- Assist in preparing, issuing and receiving Requests For Quotation
- Assist in evaluating quotations
- Develop knowledge in the use of Procurement Department software
- Review and process purchasing documents
- Prepare/issue/maintain records of purchase orders
- Learning procurement process
- May process approvals for supplier invoices and maintains necessary records
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred bachelors or masters degree in Supply Chain or Procurement.
Minimum Qualifications
Current enrollment in a 4 year program in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
