Washington, D.C. Legislative Internship Program

Jim Costa Washington, D.C. Legislative Internship Program

Each summer, 2-4 college students are selected to work in the nation's capital, working in the offices of members of the San Joaquin Valley congressional delegation on both sides of the aisle. Costa Scholars assist with legislative research, attend hearings, and engage with policymakers shaping the future of the country while highlighting the San Joaquin Valley's vital role in national policy and progress. This program offers valuable insight into the federal legislative process and equips students with the knowledge and experience needed to advocate for the San Joaquin Valley's priorities on a national scale.

Applications for Summer 2027 open November 20, 2026.
