Role Summary:

The Game Day Shuttle Driver is responsible for driving a campus van to and from the Wall to Strong Stadium on Beloit College Athletics Home Game days.

The purpose of this new role is to encourage student attendance at Beloit College home athletic events and to eliminate barriers to attending. An example daily schedule for a 1pm event start is picking up the shuttle at 12:30pm, driving the shuttle to the Wall and being in place, ready to drive students by 12:45pm. Shuttling students back and forth between the Wall and Strong Stadium for the duration of the athletic event and 30 minutes past the completion of the event, (will vary by sport).

The ideal candidate for this role is reliable, punctual, works well independently, has a driving record devoid of accidents and violations; and has enthusiasm for Beloit College Athletics and its role on campus.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive college vans from the Wall to Strong Stadium
  • Communicate well with supervisor about scheduling
  • Maintain a valid US Driver’s License
  • Maintain College Driver Certification
  • Ability to sit and drive for 2-3 hours at a time.

Credentials and Experience:

  • Valid United States Drivers License
  • Valid College Driver Certification
  • Previous experience driving a van or larger vehicle preferred.
  • Experience driving in winter conditions preferred

  • Ability to drive in a variety of weather conditions and feel comfortable and confident doing so in a college van.

  • Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to think critically, effectively prioritize, plan, and organize multiple tasks and projects and meet set deadlines without immediate and constant supervision.
