Project-based Learning: Interns on this team focus on writing that supports our business-to-business (B2B) offerings, producing proposals, partnership materials, and persuasive content that help us reach partners, wholesale buyers, and other organizations. This team owns the editorial quality of NourishCap's product and conversion copy across web, email, and social channels. As a minor, secondary project, the team also helps expand a supplemental book we have tentatively titled "Timeless Principles for the Workplace." Our goal with the book is to provide the kind of everyday advice that is almost too common and subtle for the professors to have taught them in typical classes in any department. It is about the kinds of things that employers expect you to know but that aren't part of classes, aren't part of common knowledge, and aren't even taught by employers, not even by ones that have handbooks and training for their employees. For example, handbooks teach employees about the law in company policies but not about soft skills or how to get ahead in the eyes of their supervisors. So, this teams' projects will be about expanding this book and developing supplemental resources possible including, but not limited to, training software and podcasts. This position is aligned with the Software 1.B Product Marketing Pipeline. Your training experience will be aligned with the activities of the company during the time of your internship, so while overarching training and responsibilities will be similar to what is described here, the projects and details of the experience will evolve over time.
Collaboration: The primary focus of this position is now the Software 1.B Product Marketing Pipeline. You are the editorial and quality-assurance partner for the product and conversion copy (landing pages, email, and product descriptions) that the pipeline deploys, responsible for fact-checking, completeness, clarity, and consistent style. The "Timeless Principles for the Workplace" book remains only as a minor, secondary project, not the core of the role. You also contribute to process improvement: your editorial feedback and suggestions flow to the Software 1.B interns, who build them into permanent, mounting improvements to the pipeline. Like every position at NourishCap, you will use AI as "an intern to the intern," by directing, correcting, and teaching AI tools, because teaching the AI is one of the best ways for you to learn.
Training and Responsibilities May Include But Will Not Be Limited To
- Gain familiarity with developing and arranging sections of a book that will be printed for new graduates
- Facilitate Rule of Thumb meeting to test layouts and clarity for the target audience
- Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material
- Participate in a 100% remote environment alongside peers across the globe
- Navigate diverse workspaces with varying time zones and cultural backgrounds while maintaining an inclusive and supportive environment
- Build strong connections with other interns and staff people through networking, peer collaboration, and other weekly meetings while collaborating remotely.
- Attend regular meetings to network and collaborate alongside other teams and departments, preventing isolation and facilitating collaboration
Notes: Think of this internship as an opportunity to apply the skills you’ve gained in the classroom to real-world situations, not as an introduction to skills or an alternative to classes. Also, look for us to give you the kind of real-world business context and feedback that professors generally cannot provide, not only about your specific skill area but (perhaps more importantly!) feedback from perspectives outside of your major, such as how various other aspects of the business drive needs and decisions for your projects. *This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it
