About the role
Our Purpose:
Our R&D engineers are tasked with designing and developing innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world. The Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) division leads in minimally invasive therapies for cancer treatment, vessel trauma, and vascular access. Growth of the division is driven by the aging population, under-diagnosed and under-treated patient populations, heterogeneity of disease and unmet clinical need. IO&E offers innovations in mechanical embolization, liquid/gel embolics, drainage, vascular access tools, and interventional oncology.
Your Responsibilities:

- Design and prototype new devices to address clinical feedback.

- Assist new product development teams in device development and testing.

Required Qualifications:
- Must graduate between Fall 2028 and Spring 2029
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 17th – August 6th OR May 24th – August 13th
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN (Arbor Lakes) Boston Scientific Corporate location
