Student Intern, Engineering, Relay Design, Summer 2027

Entergy’s Project Delivery Engineering Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 16,000 miles of transmission lines and over 2,700 substations across the four-state territory.

Intern Job Description:

Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities, including but not limited to:

• Performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis, project scoping, cost estimation, and site visits Specification/procurement of relay equipment
• Preparing IFA/IFC relay design packages
• Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
• Working collectively with multiple groups across different disciplines to support project needs
• Preparing operational one-line drawings
• Performing the completion of as-built documentation
• Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
• Supporting activities to comply with applicable industry standards (i.e., NERC, SERC) and other utility regulations as required
• Travel may be required for the position

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in ElectricalEngineering (for the duration of their internship).
• *Preferred:Candidates who will be classified as a junior, senior, or beyond at the time of hire.*
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
