About the role
Supports the CHSS Marketing & Communication Manager by creating engaging content and stories that highlight CHSS students, faculty, and programs, while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and digital storytelling. Work from home: Not eligible Hours: Part-time, 10 hours per week
- Content creation & editing (20%): Create, edit, and publish posts, stories, reels, and short-form video.
- Photography & videography (15%): Film and photograph events, highlights, and engaged learning for digital channels.
- Story development & interviews (15%): Interview students, faculty, and alumni to capture authentic digital stories.
- Content calendar & ideation (15%): Maintain a content calendar, brainstorm ideas, and support campaign planning.
- Event coverage & recaps (15%): Capture content at events and produce recap posts.
- Social media management (10%): Schedule and monitor content, manage engagement, and support calendar management using Sprout Social.
- Analytics & reporting (10%): Track performance metrics and support basic reporting to guide strategy.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Must provide the current class schedule at application time.
- No professional license/certificate required.
Knowledge
- Social trends and digital culture
- Familiarity with photo/video/editing tools (training available)

Physical demands and working conditions (high level)
- Physical: Frequently sitting and walking; lifting up to 10 lbs. Working conditions: Rare exposure to unusual elements; occasional confined/crowded areas; rare travel (driver's license required).
